Call for Papers

SDEMPED 2027 invites researchers and practitioners worldwide to submit original contributions on diagnostics for electrical machines, power electronics, and drives.

Invitation

Join the Global Diagnostics Community

The IEEE International Symposium on Diagnostics for Electrical Machines, Power Electronics and Drives (SDEMPED 2027) will be held in Tallinn, Estonia, from 24 to 27 August 2027. Organised by Tallinn University of Technology and Aalto University under the auspices of IEEE, SDEMPED 2027 continues a distinguished series of symposia that have shaped the field of electrical machine and drive diagnostics for decades.

We warmly invite researchers, engineers, and industry specialists to submit original, previously unpublished papers covering all aspects of condition monitoring, fault detection, and diagnostics applied to electrical machines, power converters, and drive systems. Both fundamental research and applied studies addressing real industrial challenges are welcome.

Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore and indexed in leading scientific databases. The symposium offers an exceptional venue for presenting your work to a dedicated international audience and for networking with peers at the forefront of the field.

How to Submit

Submission Overview

All papers must be prepared in the IEEE two-column conference format and must not exceed six pages, including the title, author information, figures, tables, and references. Authors should use the official IEEE templates (Word or LaTeX) available from the IEEE Author Center.

Initial submissions must be complete manuscripts — abstract-only submissions are not accepted. Papers must be original and must not have been published or be under review elsewhere. All submitted papers will undergo a rigorous peer review process conducted by members of the Technical Programme Committee.

For formatting requirements, ethical guidelines, and camera-ready instructions, see the Paper Submission & Guidelines page.
